The city of Moncton operates on a 3 bag garbage collection system: Green (small), Blue (medium), and Clear(medium).
Green bags are collected by the city every week. Blue and clear bags are collected every two weeks with each color alternating weeks. One week green and clear, the other week is green and blue.
Small Green Bag – Small garbage can
Organic (food, napkins, paper towel, tissues)
Medium Blue Bag – Silver Metal Frame
Recyclable (metal, paper, cardboard, plastic)
Medium Clear Bag – Large Garbage Can
Garbage (most items that don’t go into green or blue bags)
